Walking into a recording studio for the first time is intimidating. Here is how to walk in prepared.

Before You Book

Pick a studio that fits your project, not just your budget. Read about how to choose the right studio.

The Day Before

  • Print your lyrics or script. Phone screens die. Paper does not.
  • Send your instrumental 24 hours ahead. Lets the engineer pre-load and time-align before you arrive.
  • Pick 2 to 3 reference tracks. Songs that capture the vibe you want.
  • Hydrate. Voice care is real.

The Hour Before

Arrive 10 minutes early. Time to settle, sip water, and warm up your voice before the recording clock starts ticking.

The best engineers can fix anything except a take that was not there. Your job is to show up ready to perform.

During the Session

Trust the engineer. Multiple takes are normal. Comping is normal.

Ready? Book a recording session.
