I have no audio experience. Will I be able to keep up?
add
Yes — the Sound Engineering Course is specifically designed for beginners. We start at the basics (what is sound, what is a mic, how does a DAW work) and build from there. No prior knowledge required.
What is the difference between the two courses?
add
Sound Engineering is a complete foundation — recording, mixing, mastering, signal flow, and DAW basics — over 3 months. Mixing & Mastering is a 6-week specialization focused only on finishing tracks. The first is broader and longer; the second is deeper but assumes you already know basics.
Are the courses practical or theory-heavy?
add
About 70% practical, 30% theory. Most class hours are spent behind the console, at the mic, or in the DAW. Theory is taught only when it directly explains a hands-on decision.
Do I get studio time as part of the course?
add
Yes. Every batch gets allocated studio hours for assignments and personal projects — outside of class time. Some batches also sit in on commercial sessions when client schedules allow.
Which DAW will I learn?
add
Pro Tools as primary (industry standard for tracking and post). Logic Pro X and Ableton Live as secondary (production and electronic music workflows). Most students leave fluent in at least two.
How do I choose between the two courses?
add
If you're new to audio, start with Sound Engineering. If you already produce or record and want to specialize in finishing, take Mixing & Mastering. Talk to an advisor on WhatsApp if you're unsure — a quick call usually clarifies it.
How long is each course?
add
Sound Engineering: 3 months (12 weeks of classes). Mixing & Mastering: 6 weeks. Both include assignment time and final project completion outside class hours. Exact dates and batch schedules are confirmed at enrollment.
How much do the courses cost?
add
Sound Engineering starts from ₹25,000. Mixing & Mastering starts from ₹15,000. EMI options and student discounts (10% for verified college students) are available. Final pricing is confirmed at enrollment.
How do I enroll or inquire?
add
Click "Enquire" on either course block, fill the contact form, or message us on WhatsApp at +91 98765 43210. An advisor will call back within 24 hours with batch dates and next steps.
Can creators or musicians join without formal background?
add
Yes — about 50% of our students are musicians, content creators, or self-taught producers. No formal music or technical background required, just a serious interest in learning.
Will I get a certificate after completion?
add
Yes. A Studio Smart One Academy completion certificate is issued at end-of-course, recognized by our Surat and Mumbai partner studios for freelance and assistant engineering opportunities.
Is there a guidance call before joining?
add
Yes — we offer a free 15-minute advisor call before any enrollment. We'll listen to your goals, suggest the right course, and clarify anything about the curriculum. No pressure to enroll.
When do new batches start?
add
New batches start every 6–8 weeks for Sound Engineering and every 4 weeks for Mixing & Mastering. Exact dates are shared on the course detail page or via the advisor call.
Do you offer placement assistance?
add
We don't guarantee placement, but we actively connect strong graduates to our partner network — Mumbai studios, freelance projects, and assistant engineering openings. Output and attitude matter more than certificate.
